BASEBALL ADVANCES IN TOURNEY!
HAWKS KNOCK-OFF TURPIN
DISTRICT TITLE ON THE LINE THURSDAY
East Baseball nailed down a Sectional Title on Tuesday defeating Turpin 6-3. The Hawks had to rally for the win as they fell behind 2-0 in the 2nd inning. East went on to score 5 unanswered runs and eventually got the 6-3 win. Dean Brown earned the victory from the mound giving up 7 hits en route to a 5 inning performance. Gavin Byrd and Brayden Reinhart had two hits apiece.
Next up, East advances to the District Final game versus #1 seed Moeller. That game will be played at Princeton HS on Thursday, 5/23 at 5:00. Admission will be charged. The Hawk Baseball program is seeking its 4th overall District title with the last one coming in 2013 (2008, 2011, 2013).
The winner earns a Regional Sweet 16 berth against either Loveland or Vandalia Butler on Thursday, May 30th.
