Shaws last last-second shot seals the win for East!
Another night, another signature win for the Thunderhawks, Tuesday, 12/19 at Fairfield. The Hawks continued their winning ways dropping Fairfield 54-52 in a barn-burner. Sophomore Luke Shaw's basket with time running out produces another big GMC win.
East led by as much as 10 points early in the third quarter, but a series of uncharacteristic turnovers allowed the Indians back in the game in the fourth quarter.
A change of possession with less than a minute allowed East one more chance in regulation and Shaw delivered with his driving layout that bounced off the rim and thru sending jubilant players and coaches on the floor to celebrate an improbable win.
Trey Perry led all scorers with 26 points and steady Tyler Bachman added 12.
Next up, East (3-2, 3-1) will host Middletown on Friday, 12/22. The team will travel to Zephyrhills, Florida over the holidays for the Nature Coast Christmas Tourney.
They'll return to action in the new year on Friday, Jan. 5th at Lakota West.
