Boys Basketball Wins Thriller Over Springfield
Boys Basketball won a non-conference thriller last night over visiting Springfield. Final score of the contest was 43-42. It was a "come-back" special for the Hawks who trailed by as much as 12 points on senior night and waited until the last 5 seconds of the game to take their first lead (43-32). Without doubt, Miami University bound senior Trey Perry was spectacular as usual. His 34 points led the offense, but most importantly, his final two points provided East the win!
Down by one with time running out, Perry got an alley-oop pass from Brady Bowman under the basket and scored the deciding points in the game with 5 ticks left on the clock. Springfield's desperation heave was well off the mark to end the game.
East (13-5, 9-3) will visit Fairfield this Friday.
