The Lakota East Cross Country team had a magnificent showing at the Springboro Invitation on Saturday. The morning got underway with the varsity boys, who were lead by sophomore Daniel Gibson and senior Luke Huggins. Senior Larkin Willis bounced back from injury to clock a 2 minute improvement on his season best. Sophomore and first year runner Jackson Ferrell showed out once again, posting a 76 second PR.
The open boys were lead with the long anticipated return of senior William Snider, who turned in a gutsy race in his first race back. Sophomore Ethan Monroe and Freshman Quin Horgan ran tough races to help lead the way for the Hawks. Orion Walker ran his best race of the season by far and his toughness drove him to nearly a 2 and a half minute season PR.
The Hawks are back in action on Saturday to compete in a loaded field at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky.
