BOYS CROSS COUNTRY STRONG AT MURRAY INVITE
East Boys CC had nearly every runner get a season-best or personal-best time at the Jim Murray Invite this past Saturday. Sophomore Reilly Meyer led the charge for the Hawks finishing 2nd with a huge PR of 15:34, making him the 4th fastest boy in Lakota East history.
Junior Blake Gibbs went out hard and it paid off with an exceptional 16:24 and 10th-place finish. Sophomore Eli Grissom got off the line fast and had his best race of the season so far finishing in 17:44. Junior Luke Huggins showed out and dropped over 30 seconds from his PR with a strong finish of 18:09. Freshman Daniel Gibson took a chance by stepping up and that paid off to round up our top 5 with a 18:55. The team placed 4th of 27 teams.
The boys are back in action on Saturday 10/14 at VOA for the GMC Meet.
