Boys Soccer Beats Middletown to Advance to District Final
Lakota East vs. Middletown - District Semi-Final
In an exciting district semi-final match, the Lakota East boys’ soccer team edged out Middletown with a 2-1 victory. The game kicked off with a bang as Chris Mfuranzima scored for Lakota East in the 2nd minute, giving his team an early lead. Middletown responded quickly, equalizing in the 13th minute to level the score.
The decisive moment came in the 32nd minute when Shaun Dickerson delivered a perfect cross into the box, which Luis Perez-Luna expertly headed into the net, securing the lead for Lakota East. Despite Middletown’s efforts to find another equalizer, Lakota East’s defense held firm.
With this win, Lakota East advances to the District Final against Beavercreek. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 7:00 PM at Centerville Alumni Stadium. Best of luck to Lakota East in the finals!
