The boy's soccer team notched their first victory of the 2021 season with a 4-1 win at Loveland High School Tuesday night. The boys fell behind an early goal from the Tigers, but quickly leveled the score from a strike 30 yards out by junior, Ty Langhorn. The goal was assisted by junior, Jacob Nguyen.
The Hawks grabbed the momentum at this point and were awarded a penalty kick that was taken by senior, Jack Pascoal, who followed up the deflection from the Tiger goalkeeper on the initial shot and finished it giving East a 2-1 lead. Minutes later it was Pascoal again finishing a shot after receiving a flick pass from senior, Vicente Raymundo, extending the Hawk’s lead to 3-1.
The score remained the same until late in the 2nd half when East was awarded another PK, this time taken and finished by senior captain, Connor Pletikapich, finalizing the score 4-1.
The Hawks record moves to 1-1-0 and travel Thursday night to Milford High School to take on the Eagles.
