Lakota East's boys soccer team delivered a commanding performance on their home turf, defeating Colerain 6-0 on Senior Night. The Thunderhawks controlled the match from the outset, with senior captain Shaun Dickerson and Chris Mfuranzima leading the charge in a standout display of skill and teamwork.

The scoring opened in the 33rd minute when Dickerson found the back of the net with a powerful strike off a well-placed corner kick from Mfuranzima. Just two minutes later, Mfuranzima doubled the lead, this time assisted by Dickerson. The pair struck again in quick succession as Mfuranzima scored his second goal in the 36th minute, once again assisted by Dickerson.

Moments later, Dickerson completed a brilliant attacking sequence with another goal in the 36th minute, his second of the night, assisted by Mfuranzima to make it 4-0. Dickerson wasn’t done yet, as he volleyed in an unassisted strike just a minute later in the 37th minute to complete a personal hat-trick and give East a commanding lead going into halftime.

The offensive onslaught continued into the second half when Grayson Reynolds added his name to the scoresheet in the 51st minute, finishing a perfectly timed pass from Dickerson.

Lakota East also took the opportunity to honor 14 seniors, celebrating the contributions of Ryan Warm, Owen Wagner, Grayson Reynolds, Caleb Wheeler, Emerson Masheck, James Schnelle, Chris Mfuranzima, Luis Perez-Luna, Fernando Velasquez, Shaun Dickerson, Juan Bartolon-Perez, Josiah Pace, Seth Kaiser, and Ben Hamad.

The win improved East's record to 8-3-3 (6-2 GMC) as they now look ahead to a challenging road game against St. Xavier on Saturday evening.
