The Thunderhawks fought hard in their regular season tri-match opener. They fell to Fenwick 14-25, 13-25, & 14-25 and La Salle 20-25, 16-25, & 25-27. Freshman outside hitter, Will Huelskamp, led the way on offense for the Thunderhawks with 12 kills. Sophomore, Ryan Leisten, contributed to the offense with five aces. Setter, Carson Hill, led the way on defense with 15 digs and 36 assists to lead the offense.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Thunderhawks strung back to back 3 set wins versus Roger Bacon (25-21, 25-22, & 25-16) and Chaminade Julienne (25-18, 25-23, & 25-21). Freshman outside hitter, Will Huelskamp, had 12 digs, and sophomore libero Ryan Lesiten had ten digs to lead the team on defense Tuesday night vs. Roger Bacon. Huelskamp also contributed 15 kills and freshman right-side hitter, Grant Simer, contributed eight kills to help lead the way on offense for the Thunderhawks.

East VB defeated Chaminande Julienne (25-18, 25-23, & 25-21) on Wed. March 30. Freshman outside hitter, Will Huelskamp, had 12 digs, and sophomore libero Ryan Lesiten had ten digs to lead the team on defense Tuesday night vs. Roger Bacon. Huelskamp also contributed 15 kills and freshman right-side hitter, Grant Simer, contributed eight kills to help lead the way on offense for the Thunderhawks. Wednesday night, senior outside hitter, Sebastian Navarro, led the way on offense with 11 kills. The blocking came up big at the net, with junior middle, Max Behrmann, collecting seven blocks and junior middle, Jake Reisner, collecting five blocks. The team was led defensively by sophomore defensive specialist Lucas Blackburn, with 13 digs.
The Thunderhawks are back in action next Tuesday, April 5th, as they host Sycamore for their first GMC match of the year. Come out and support your Thunderhawks!!!!
