Brody Hayes has record setting day! Qualifies for District Championship

East Boys Golf competed at the Sectional at Glenview on Wednesday. The Hawks finished as a team in 8th place with a team score of 308 (season low).  

Sophomore sensation, Brody Hayes had a record setting day on the course for the Thunderhawks. Hayes recorded a 18-hole score of 65 at 7-under par to be the overall Sectional medalist and advance him to the District Championships.  

Brody's 10 birdies on the day is a new East All-Time Record. Hayes and former standout Ty Sila (2020) share the record for 65 totals (at 7-under par). 

The Southwest District Championships will be held at Pipestone GC on Monday, Oct. 7th. The top three teams and three individual low scores will advance to the State Championships on Oct. 14-15 at Kettering NCR CC.  

East Boys Golf will conclude their regular season at the Dublin Jerome Invite this Saturday. East is coached by first-year coach Joe Robertson.
