El Caporal Team of the Week is Baseball
The Lakota East Varsity Baseball Team has been recognized as this week’s El Caporal Team of the Week for their strong play and resilience during the early part of the season.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Jarett Rindfleisch, the Hawks are beginning to find their identity this spring, posting a 2-2 overall record and a 2-1 mark in the always-competitive Greater Miami Conference (GMC).
Lakota East earned a pair of key conference victories over Fairfield, with final scores of 9-7 and 6-3, showcasing grit and timely hitting. The Hawks also battled powerhouse Moeller in a hard-fought contest, narrowly falling 9-7 on March 31st.
Looking ahead, the Hawks are set for a major test as they take on the defending state champion Mason Comets today, Thursday, April 10th.
