El Caporal Team of the Week is the Academic Quiz Team
El Caporal, a staple of the Lakota and Mason communities known for its authentic Mexican cuisine and warm hospitality, is excited to announce the Team of the Week initiative, designed to celebrate outstanding local athletic teams for their achievements and contributions to the community.
The Lakota East Academic Quiz Team has been recognized as this week’s Team of the Week for their dedication and strong performance throughout the season.
These hardworking Hawk brainiacs recently completed their season, finishing with a record of 11-7, securing a 5th-place finish in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC). Quizzing is one of the nine winter sports that contribute to the annual GMC All-Sports Trophy competition among the league’s 10 schools.
Lakota East is coached by Rich Schmaltz, who has played a key role in guiding the team to success.
