East closed out their regular season schedule last Friday with another GMC win, their 7th of the season (7-2 GMC, 7-3 overall). This is the most league wins by a East Football team since the team ran the table in the GMC in 2004 (7-0).
After a scoreless 1st quarter the Hawks were able to put up 13 before the half. The Highlanders were held off the board till the 8:54 mark in the 4th quarter.
Jamison Kitna threw for 190 yards on 16/26 and a TD toss to Carter Jones. Ryder Hooks had a massive rushing game plowing up 199 yards on 23 carries and a TD on the ground.
AJ Fitzstephens kicked a 27-yard FG.
East is the #8 seed in the upcoming Region 4 playoffs. The Hawks will travel to #9 seed West Clermont for a 1st round game this Friday, Nov. 1.
The winner will play either #1 seed Moeller or #16 seed Sycamore on Friday, Nov. 8th.
