FOOTBALL FALLS TO ELKS IN SEASON OPENER

The Hawks began their 2023 season under new head coach Jon Kitna last Friday. East visited Centerville and suffered a 30-12 loss.
The Hawks trailed the Elks by 2 points at the half. Jamison Ktna hit Zion Neal with a 43-yard bomb for the first score. Ktna then made a 15-yard scamper for East's other points on the night.
East will look for a win at home this Friday when they entertain Hamilton Big Blue. Blue fell 18-0 to Badin in their opener.
