Football Wins 3rd Straight!!
East Football won their 3rd consecutive game on Friday, defeating Colerain 36-31. The Hawks found themselves in a battle with the winless Cardinals early-on in the contest. Colerain put up 21 points in the first half to take a 21-15 lead.
The Hawks did all the scoring in the third quarter (14 points) and then held on in the final 8 mintues with Colerain scoring a late touchdown with 18 seconds remaining to get it closer.
Ryder Hooks continues to lead East to wins with 195 yards rushing on 20 carries and a TD. Jamison Kitna threw for 201 yards on 15/33 and two TDs. Zion Neal caught a TD and had 69 receiving yards. Carter Jones also contributed with a TD catch. Chanucey Peck rushed for 55 yards and a TD.
Carson Shroyer led the defense with 8 tackles. Demetrius Stanley had 7 tackles, Cohen Reip had 6 tackles.
The Hawks (5-2, 5-1) stay tied with West and Princeton for the top spot in the GMC standings. East will host Sycamore this Friday night for their final regular season home game of the season.
