GIRLS' BASKETBALL DEFEAT HIGHLANDERS LOSE TO VIKES
The Thunderhawks defeat the Highlanders 55-37 in their 1/17 Wednesday night matchup. The team shot 47% from beyond the arc, had 11 assists on 16 made baskets, and had 16 points off the bench! Brooke Asher led the scoring with 22 points, going 7/8 on the Free Throw line and shooting 60% from the 3-point line. Teammates, Fohl, Pham, and Blount, all contributed 7 points each.

East had a chance to defeat GMC leader Princeton last Friday, but a last-second shot failed and the Vikings raced to the end of the court to secure the 59-57 victory.
The Hawks and Vikes were tied at 34 after 3 quarters. Celina Blount and Brooke Asher led East with 19 and 16 points, respectively.
The Girls (9-6, 8-2) will host Fairfield on Wednesday, 1/24.
