GIRLS' BASKETBALL DEFEATS HAMILTON
READY FOR GMC TITLE GAME ON SATURDAY
East double-upped on Hamilton this past Wednesday, 77-34 to set up a GMC title game on Saturday at Mason. The Hawks dispensed of the Big Blue with a first-half scoring barrage (47-19) with the East bench adding to the lead from there. Leaders for East: Riley Wood 17, Madison French 12, and Savannah Smith 11. Smith dished out 5 assists on the night.
It will be East and Mason for "all the marbles" this Saturday at Mason. The Hawks defeated the Comets earlier this season 52-48. Both teams have identical 14-1 GMC records. The Hawks were ranked third overall in the latest Division 1 state poll.
Game time at Mason is 1:45 at the Mason Middle School Arena. The Hawks are seeking their 1st GMC title and are currently ranked #3 in the state polls.
