Girls Basketball Falls in District Final

East Girls Basketball saw their season come to a close on Friday with a 44-37 loss to Walnut Hills in the District Championship game. The Hawks were striving for their 3rd district titile, but it wasn't to be. The Eagles led 19-15 at the half and that small margin was not able to be overcome over the final 16 minutes.
Bella Sturgill and Brooke Asher led the Hawks with 16 and 11 points, respectively.
East finishes another strong season going 14-10 overall and 12-4 in the always-tough GMC. Congrats to all the athletes and coaches on a successful season.
