In their last regular season game, Lakota East fell to Springboro 70-59 after a hard-fought comeback effort. The Thunderhawks were down by as many as 22 points in the second quarter but rallied late in the game, narrowing the deficit to just 5 points with two minutes remaining. Despite their strong push, they couldn't overcome Springboro's lead.

Brooke Asher was a standout performer for East, leading the team with 20 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal. Bailey Bacher also had an impressive all-around game, contributing 6 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, and 1 block. Bella Sturgill added 10 points and 1 block, while senior Addyson Johnson chipped in with 8 points. Fellow seniors Parker Straub, Ashley Butts, and Faith Chau made significant contributions both offensively and defensively, helping to keep the game competitive.

Now, with the regular season behind them, the Thunderhawks will look to regroup and focus on the upcoming tournament. They will face West Clermont in their first matchup next week, hoping to carry the momentum from their late-game performance into the postseason.

East Girls earned the #4 seed in the upcoming Sectional. They will play #7 seed West Clermont in the 1st round at Fairfield on Tuesday, 2/18 at 7:30 PM.
