East Girls Basketball season is well underway. Below are some early season recaps.
East Girls Bball opened their 2023-24 season versus Springboro on Nov. 11. The Hawks lost a close one by a score of 38-37. The team was led by Celina Blounts with 15 points. Emma Fohl contributed 11.

The Hawks competed in the Queen City Tipoff vs Badin on 11/25 and came out with their first win of the 23-24 season! The final score was 58-40.
Senior, Phoebe Towe, hit 6 three-pointers and broke the school’s Most Three-Pointers in a Game record!

Her teammates, Brooke Asher with 14 points and 3 steals, and Emma Fohl with 8 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals were huge contributions to the team’s first win. Freshman, Bailey Bacher, filled the stat lines with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 points, and a steal.

The Hawks fall to Alter 46-39 in their second game of the Queen City Tipoff on 11/26. Celina Blount led the team with 12 points, 6 blocks, and 5 rebounds. Sophomore Bella Sturgill gave big minutes off the bench with 9 points and 4 rebounds.

East Girls took another loss on 11/28 falling to Mount Notre Dame 55-45. Emma Fohl led the Hawks with 14 points. Celina Blount had 13 in the losing effort.

Lakota East smacked Fairfield 64-40 in their first GMC matchup of the season on Saturday, 12/2. The final score was 64-40. East shot 50% from the field as a team for the day, as well as 50% from beyond the arc.
Brooke Asher finished with 17 points, making 4 threes, grabbing 5 boards, and throwing 2 assists. Bella Sturgill had an efficient day having 15 points, and 3 rebounds in 13 minutes of play. Phoebe Towe and Celina Blount both contributed 9 points in their win.

The Hawks came up short to an extremely talented Pickerington Central team, who was ranked preseason #1 in the state of Ohio. While losing 51-46, the Hawks still put on a show at the Thrill in the Ville Showcase in Columbus, Ohio.
Brooke Asher, led her team with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Emma Fohl took control of the floor and contributed 10 points, 6 steals, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds. Celina Blount made her presence known inside with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 assists.
