GIRLS' BASKETBALL SECTIONAL CHAMPS!
HAWKS ADVANCE TO DISTRICT FINAL vs FAIRMONT
Lakota East Girls Basketball won a Sectional Title on Monday night defeating #12 Lebanon 62-45 to advance to the District Championship. The Thunderhawks gained the lead early and never let up.
The Hawks got a standout performance from Brooke Asher, who led scoring with 20 points, including going 10-11 from the free throw line down the stretch. Madison French contributed 17 points with 4 assists and 3 steals on the night. Emma Fohl finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds.
The Hawks face #8 Kettering Fairmont at Princeton on Saturday, who knocked off #1 seed Bellbrook to advance. The district match-up will send either team to the Regional semi-final versus either Centerville or Kings on March 4th at a location TBA.
