The Lakota East Thunderhawks celebrated Senior Night in style, securing a 53-38 victory over Hamilton. Senior Brooke Asher was the standout performer of the game, leading the way with 19 points, 4 steals, 1 assist, and 1 rebound, showcasing her all-around skill and leadership on the court.
Fellow senior Parker Straub contributed 6 points and 3 rebounds, providing valuable support on both ends of the floor. The Thunderhawks' balanced offense was also powered by the efforts of Addyson Johnson and Ashley Butts, who each chipped in 4 points, while combining for 8 assists to keep the ball moving and set up teammates for success.
Seniors Faith Chau, Aubrey Barnedo, Macie Manzardo, and Lily Horton all made their mark as well, contributing in various ways to the team’s well-rounded effort. Their hustle and energy were key in helping the team maintain control throughout the game.

Right alongside her was Bella Sturgill, who also posted 14 points and contributed 6 rebounds and 2 assists, proving to be a reliable scoring option for her team.
One of the standout performances of the night came from Addyson Johnson, who had a perfect shooting night. She went 5-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line, finishing with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. Her efficient scoring was a key factor in the Thunderhawks' win.
The team’s offensive flow was on display, as they tallied 14 assists on 14 made baskets, demonstrating unselfish play and strong ball movement throughout the game. Lakota East’s defense was also solid, limiting Lakota West’s scoring opportunities and controlling the pace in the second half. The Thunderhawks are now 12-5 on the season, 11-1 in the GMC.
