GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS SECTIONAL!

HAWKS ADVANCE TO DISTRICT TITLE GAME!
The Lakota East Girls Basketball team defeated Turpin on Monday, 49-47, for a Sectional Title and a berth in the District Championship.
This one was a nail-biter for the Hawks. East was able to hold off a Turpin come-back in the fourth quarter to secure their 15th win of the season (against 9 losses).
Leaders for East: Madison French 16 points and Payton Woody 11 points. Woody had a double-double with 14 rebounds. French contributed 5 assists.
East will await the winner of tonight's Princeton/Loveland contest to determine their next opponent. That contest will be played for a District Title on Saturday, Feb. 26th, 11:00 am at a location to be determined.
