GIRLS CC...WILLIS 5TH AT TWILIGHT INVITE
Jocey Willis continues to improve this season, as she raced up front this past weekend at the Troy Twilight Invitational. Jocey placed 5th overall out of 144 runners, and her time of 19:41.5 for the 5k (3.1-mile) course shaved an entire minute off of her previous season-best time.
The women’s team placed 11th out of 15 teams at the meet. The #2 runner for East was sophomore Brooke Wilson, who ran a personal record time of 22:08 to place 67th overall. The third Hawk across the line was junior, Hope Keith, who ran a season-best time of 22:26th to place 78th. Rounding out the scoring for the Thunerhawk women was sophomore Meredith Brown (22:55, 95th place, personal record), and junior Ella Huelskamp (23:16, 101st place).
Next up for Lakota East Cross Country is the Milford Invitational, this Saturday, September 18th.
