Ava Dickenson (Freshman) became the 28th fastest girl in Lakota East Cross Country history on Saturday at the Princeton Invitational. Dickenson ran 19:56.1 for the 5k (3.1-mile) course at the Landmark Christian Campus course. That effort placed her 7th overall out of a 95-runner field.
As a team, the Thunderhawk women placed 5th out of 12 teams.
Following Ava, and continuing her weekly personal record races, was junior Meredith Brown. Brown placed 17th overall in 20:52.7. Freshman, Maddie Still, had a breakthrough race and personal record performance placing 29th overall in 21:26. Emme Nguyen came back from injury and ran a personal record time of 21:54 to place 36th overall. The 5th and final scorer for the Hawks were senior Hope Keith, who placed 39th overall in 22:07.
Next up for Lakota East Cross Country is the King's Duals at Kingswood Park on Saturday, October 1st.
