The Thunderhawk women placed 6th out of 9 teams at Saturday's Princeton Invite. The team did not have their top runner in the lineup for this event. Senior, Dani Thorner, led the way for East with her 10th place overall finish in the 85-runner field. Her time of 20:49.0 was a season-best for the 5k (3.1-mile) distance.
Moving up in the Thunderhawk pack was junior Hope Keith, who placed 30th overall in 21:47.2. Senior, Sarah Renfro, was the #3 runner for East, placing 38th overall in 22:12. Freshman Emme Nguyen had a breakthrough lifetime performance to place 42nd overall in 22:23. Sophomore, Meredith Brown, rounded out the scoring for the Hawks by placing 44th overall in 22:31.
Next up for Lakota East Cross Country is the King's Duals at Kingswood Park on October 2nd. The women will go head to head with Anderson.
