GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY HOSTED FALL EAST INVITE SATURDAY
HAWK LADIES TAKE 3RD PLACE
The Lakota East Girls Cross Country team competed at Voice of America on Saturday at the Lakota East Fall Classic. The girls' team turned in excellent performances across the board.
Sophomore Molly Deardorff led the charge once again, running a gutsy race to take 3rd in the field. First-year runner and sophomore Elise Brown is finding her groove, placing within the top 20 and posting a big PR despite brutal conditions.
Ava Dickenson showed just how tough she can be on Saturday, posting a sensational 2-minute season PR. Seniors Brooke Wilson and Meredith Brown ran extremely hard to help lead the Hawks to a 3rd place finish. Junior Emme Ngyuen showed out in a huge way, knocking 40 seconds off of her previous season's best.
Next up for East Cross Country is the Loveland Invite on Saturday, 9/2.
