The Thunderhawks took on state-ranked Centerville at the Hawks Nest on Saturday.
The JV team started the day with a hard-fought 0-0 tie with the Centerville JV-A.
The Varsity team played a back and forth battle which ended in a 1-0 loss to Centerville. Neither side dominated and it was a fairly even match back and forth.
The defense came up big by controlling the flow of the game and Carman Woody (JR) keeper made some great saves to anchor the defense.
Next up, East girls host Lakota West on Thursday at home. JV kicks off at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:15 PM.
