Lakota East Ladyhawks Shine at Ohio State
Wrestling Championships
COLUMBUS, OH – The Lakota East Ladyhawks wrestling team made history at the Ohio State Wrestling Championships in Columbus this past weekend, with standout performances that solidified the program’s rapid rise in just its second year of existence.
Camryn Gresham (41-0) captured the 110-pound state title, defeating previously undefeated Cami Leng (29-0) of Marysville in the finals. Cam becomes Lakota East High School’s first-ever OHSAA Girls Wrestling State Champion with this victory, capping off a dominant season with a perfect 41-0 record. This marks her second consecutive year placing at the state tournament, following her 5th-place finish last season.
Sydney Hall (29-5) also performed impressive, finishing 4th in the 190-pound weight class. A two-time state placer, Sydney improved upon her 7th-place finish from last year, closing out her high school career as a key contributor to the Ladyhawks’ success.
Together, Camryn and Sydney helped propel Lakota East to a 9th-place team finish at the Individual State Championships. Their efforts capped off an exceptional season in which the Ladyhawks were also:
✅ 2025 Greenview Sectional Champions
✅ Top-5 finishers at Districts
✅ 8th-place finishers at the OHSAA State Duals in February
The Ladyhawks, still in just their second season as a program, continue to make waves on the state stage. With a historic championship and multiple state placers, the future looks incredibly bright for Lakota East girls’ wrestling.
