East Junior Standout reaches career milestone!
Lakota East junior standout Trey Perry reached a career milestone in the Hawks game against Fairfield on Tuesday night. Perry's driving layup early in the 4th quarter sent him over the 1000-point mark in his three-season career. Play was briefly suspended to honor this outstanding accomplishment which so few high school players ever reach.
Perry is currently fourth in the all-time scoring statistics behind the former East alums below:
1906 James Dews 2002-2006 (Lakota All-Time leader)
1145 Alex White 2011-2015
1018 Jarrett Cox 2015-2018
1006 Trey Perry 2021-2024*
Perry is currently the 2023-24 GMC scoring leader, averaging 23.8 points per game. With the remainder of this season and his senior year to come, Trey will undoubtedly become (if not already) one of the most prolific scorers in Lakota East Boys Basketball history.
