Lakota East Athletics is proud to recognize junior HANNAH KOHLHASS as the Putters Sports Grill Winter Athlete of the Week for East Academic Quiz Team.

Hannah is the co-captain of the East Varsity Academic Quiz Team this season and the glue that holds the team together. Her outstanding contributions played a key role in helping the Hawks achieve an impressive 11-7 record—our best post-COVID season—making her an essential part of that success.

Beyond her knowledge and quick thinking, Hannah keeps the team organized by strategically structuring the best lineups while collaborating closely with the coaches. Her leadership, dedication, and ability to bring out the best in her teammates have made a lasting impact on the program.

BELLA STURGILL

Lakota East Athletics is proud to recognize junior BELLA STURGILL as the Putters Sports Grill Winter Athlete of the Week for East Girls Basketball. 

Bella has been a standout performer for the Thunderhawk Girls Basketball team this season, playing a pivotal role in the team’s success. She has been an integral part of the Hawks’ impressive 14-9 overall record and their strong 12-4 finish in the always-competitive GMC.

Her offensive contributions have been a game-changer, averaging over 12 points per game while demonstrating consistency and durability by playing in every matchup. One of her season highlights came against a formidable Mount Notre Dame team, where she delivered a stellar 22-point performance.

Bella’s impact on the court has been undeniable, and her dedication, skill, and leadership have been instrumental in the team’s success this season.
