ADDYSON JOHNSON 

Lakota East Athletics is proud to recognize senior ADDYSON JOHNSON as the Putters Sports Grill Winter Athlete of the Week for East Girls Basketball.

Addyson has been nominated for Athlete of the Week due to her outstanding defensive performance as the team’s premier lockdown defender. In the final few games of the season, she has showcased her tenacity and skill by effectively shutting down the opponent's leading scorer, proving to be an invaluable asset to her team's success.

Beyond her defensive prowess, Addyson has also been an offensive contributor. She has demonstrated impressive efficiency, shooting 4-8 from the field in both games and delivering crucial points when her team needed them most. Her all-around impact on both ends of the court has been instrumental in securing recent victories for Lakota East.

A true competitor, Addyson embodies leadership, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her ability to rise to the occasion, execute at a high level, and inspire her teammates makes her an invaluable leader within the Lakota East Girls Basketball program. DEMETRIUS STANLEY 

Lakota East Athletics is proud to recognize senior DEMETRIUS STANLEY as the Putters Sports Grill Winter Athlete of the Week for East Boys Wrestling.

Demetrius has had an exceptional season in 2024-25, showcasing relentless determination, resilience, and dominance on the mat. His dedication and hard work have propelled him to new heights, and his efforts have paid dividends in the postseason.

Demetrius is one of only two East athletes to earn a coveted spot at the OHSAA State Wrestling Championships this coming weekend. He qualified by placing third at Districts in the highly competitive 285 lb. weight class. Along the way, he defeated the #14, #15, and #21 ranked wrestlers, proving his ability to rise to the challenge and compete at an elite level. In addition to his impressive District performance, Demetrius was also crowned GMC Champion and Sectional Champion, solidifying his status as one of Ohio’s best wrestlers.

As he prepares to take on the state’s top competitors, Demetrius carries with him the pride and support of the Lakota East community. His dedication, perseverance, and competitive spirit make him a true standout in the East wrestling program.
