Putters Athletes of the Week for 9/12/2024
AVA DICKENSON
Ava is a junior on the East Girls Cross Country Team.
So far in the 2024 season, Ava has run with great confidence and poise. This fact was highlighted over the weekend by her 3rd place finish at the Mason Invite in a season-best time of 18:50 (5,000 meters). Ava has also competed well at the front of every race she has been in, with three top-10 finishes so far this season. The Lakota East junior continues to give herself a chance to win races and is showing why she will be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason. Keep up the great work, Ava!
WILL TISCHER
Will is a sophomore on the East Boys Cross Country Team.
Will has progressed exceedingly well in the first few races of the 2024 season. His season began at the Lakota East Fall Classic where he ran a time of 23:43 over 5,000 meters. Since then, Will managed to crush his previous personal best of 22:34 by running a lifetime and season-best time of 21:42.3 at the Mason Invite this past weekend. This improvement is a testament to the hard work, determination, and positive attitude that Will has exhibited in practice. Way to go, Will!
