Putters Athletes of the Week for 9/19/2024
CHRIS MFURANZIMA
Chris is a senior on the East Varsity Boys Soccer Team.
Chris has been a key player for the Thunderhawks this season, showcasing his scoring ability and leadership on the field. He has netted 6 goals so far, including a critical game-winning goal in a hard-fought match against Sycamore on Thursday evening.
Chris has consistently found the back of the net in 6 out of the 8 matches this season, contributing significantly to Lakota East's strong start, with a record of 4-2-2 overall and 3-1-0 in GMC play. His impressive goal tally places him 6th overall in goals scored in the GMC.
Chris’s dedication, consistency, and clutch performances make him a standout, and we are excited to recognize him for his contributions to the team’s success!
LAUREN SANDERS
Lauren is a junior on the East Girls Volleyball Varsity
Lauren is doing a great job for the Thunderhawks this fall. At 5'10" hitting from the outside, Lauren has turned it up a notch at the net. Through 37 games played this season, she has 101 kills which is currently 7th overall in the GMC. Great job Lauren...keep up the good work!
