Putter's Lakota East Athletes of the Week for 12/8/22
LAINEY HILL
Lainey is a senior on the East Winter Cheer Team
Lainey is on the Varsity Cheer Squad for both football and basketball cheer. Lainey is such a positive role model for our JV, Freshman, and Junior High cheerleaders. Her love of cheer and amazing leadership skills are a great addition to our cheer program. During games, she is constantly smiling, and engaging the crowd as she is cheering. It has been a pleasure to watch her improve her cheer skills throughout her 4 years of being an East Cheerleader.
RICHARD MCCOLLUM
Richard is a senior on the East Chess Team
Richard joined the East Chess team as a freshman with little experience with the game of Chess. However, through hard work and dedication, Richard's Chess skills grew each month which paid off when Richard made the varsity squad as a junior. Over the last two seasons, Richard had some big wins including his junior year, a win over Sycamore, and his senior year a win at the third board over Hamilton. The team will greatly miss Richard's positive attitude
