Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks Defeats Mount Notre Dame Varsity Cougars In Pitcher's Duel
Both teams were strong in the circle on Monday, but Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks defeated Mount Notre Dame Varsity Cougars 2-1 to advance to the District title game.

Karli Damen started the game for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks and recorded 15 outs.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the sixth when Abrie Schulte singled, scoring one run.

Audrey Gildea took the loss for Mount Notre Dame Varsity Cougars. They went six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking six. Damen began the game for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Leah Arnett, Schulte, and Schulte each collected one hit for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. Schulte and Schulte each drove in one run for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks.
