SOFTBALL STOPS WEST!
East split a pair of games the past two days. On Monday they defeated district nemesis Lakota West by a score of 9-4.
Kaleigh Crawford earned the win for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Ava Gilbert took the loss for Lakota West Varsity Firebirds. The righty went six innings, surrendering six runs on 11 hits, striking out eight and walking one. Karli Darnen collected the save.
Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks piled up 15 hits in the game. Thompson, Schulte, Lilly Banks, and Crawford each collected multiple hits for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. Schulte stole two bases. Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks stole five bases in the game.

On Tuesday, East fell at Fairfield 10-6. No details of the game were provided.
