HAWKS JUST MISS THEIR FIRST GMC TITLE
This past Saturday the Thunderhawks finish the GMC tournament just 6 points away from winning the school’s FIRST EVER league championship in school history. Seven placers, winning 6 out of 7 matches in the finals, and 3 individual GMC champions made for a great day. The top five team scores are below:

Lakota East 144.
Lakota West 136.5
Colerain 123.0
Sycamore 120.5
Seven wrestlers placed in the top four to earn the second-place finish.

132 - Junior Evan Watterson beat Lakota West for 3rd place
150 - Freshman Brady Dillon pinned Mason for 3rd place
157 - Junior Mason Tideswell won by a major decision over Middletown for 3rd place
175 - Senior KJ McAdams earned 2nd place

215 - Junior Cohen Reip won in triple overtime over Middletown for a GMC championship
285 - Junior DJ Stanley won in double overtime with a pin over Sycamore
Senior Matt Malay won by a major decision over Princeton for a GMC championship.
The first step to state is Saturday, Feb 24 @ Middletown for the Sectional tournament.
