WRESTLING SEASON CONCLUDESÂ
The East boys' wrestling team concluded their season on Saturday at the District Championships at Kettering Fairmont. Evan Watterson, Evan Malay, and Tyler Bryant all had tough matches on day one and didn't place. Traves Tideswell qualified to wrestle on Saturday but lost his first match to end his season with 37 wins.
Our lone placer was sophomore Cohen Reip. Cohen beat a previous state qualifier to ensure his top 6 placement. Unfortunately, he lost to the eventual champion and 3rd place finisher on Saturday, so he was unable to qualify for the state tournament. Cohen gained valuable experience to help him for the next two years.
Iziz Fields competed in the regional tournament and became the first Lakota East Girl to do so. She did not place but got some great experience to help her be a leader on next year's girls' team.
